A brawl broke out during an anger management assembly at a suburban high school.
Two people were arrested and 11 students were suspended after a shoving match escalated into a melee during Thursday's assembly.
Authorities said a confrontation between a student's mother and a group of girls who had been bothering her daughter turned into a shouting match, and led to pushing and hitting, before the crowd of 750 students erupted into "chaos," said C. Anthony Thompson, principal of Woodlawn High School.

so, i'm neglectful. keep meaning to post regularly but everything's always hectic. can't decide whether this is the kind of thing I'd be happier just reading. busy planning for superbowl party, hopefully can remember to post more often. i always wonder where all my time goes, and i think about 90% of it is sucked up browsing itnernet sites. always wondered what people did before t.v., radio, printing press, etc. - now i wonder how the heck i filled my time before circa 1995 when this came around to help waste it.

9:30PM - vixenlove
one of my friends got suckered by some messaging robot. what's insane is how long some people spend chattering with a machine. it repeats the same thing, over and over, and they never notice that it's just some randomized response.

7:20PM - Ads on IM
thought i'd comment on one recent pet peeve of mine.. since when do people use spam over im? i've gotten like a billion random messages from people in the last two days, mainly to do with whether i want pictures of hot (insert ethnic group) young sluts. i think i'm on some kind of automater, julia roberts has messaged me like 10 times with different numbers in her naem. and the worst part is, i can't just block all of them because my idiot friends keep changing their nicknames. shouldn't aol be able to tell when someone is cycling through thousands of names on the same computer? i'm starting to get pissed - i can't leave my computer on overnight without the screen getting covered in those random message popups.
3:35PM - new journal
just starting a new journal - saw that livejournal had made them free (never could get a code... or afford it). i've spent the last 20 minutes screwing around with random settings, thought I'd try an actual post.
saw this yesterday: a guy has been stuck in a french airport since 1988. he couldn't ever get permission to leave because he's in some kind of diplomatic limbo, and now hes basically psychologically dependent on the place.
